Huawei’s smartphone e-brand Honor has recently announced the launch of Honor 8 Pro which “aims to redefine smartphone experience”.
The device is set to launch in India in July, 2017 and promises best-in-class hardware and software, from optical lenses to sensors, to image processing algorithms, empowering users to capture the highest-quality images.
The phone will come with a dual 12MP camera setup and is expected to be priced at around Rs. 37,000.
The Huawei sub-brand had also launched Honor 8 Lite in India in May which was priced at Rs. 17,999. It packed a 3000 mAh battery and running on Huawei’s EMUI based on Android Nougat 7.0 and 2.5D curved-edge glass.
Honor 8 Pro comes as an upgrade to the Honor 8 device line with new features and modifications.
Honor has also announced that Karnataka has become one of the top markets in India for the phone brand and contributes almost 10% of total sale, with more than 206 retail stores in the state.
Honor has over 1070 retail stores in South India, making it a strong market for the Chinese phone-maker.
According to Honor’s latest Press Release, “Huawei is aiming to more than double its smartphone sales in India this fiscal year backed by a higher focus on the offline retail channel for its Honor brand of devices.”

The Huawei sub-brand’s product pipeline is pretty strong with new phones being launched quite frequently, each delivering sets of features suited for the changing market trends, even though with a bit higher price mark compared to other phone brands offering similar features.
